Social Media Associate
We are a leading horticultural business located in Massachusetts. We are dedicated to providing exceptional plant and garden solutions to a diverse clientele — both retail and wholesale.
As our Social Media Associate, you will be running our social media accounts and helping to define our online brand identity by ensuring that our online presence and our visual identity are in alignment with our brand identity in our retail stores and wholesale locations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visually appealing social media posts, carousels, reels and videos that resonate with and appeal to our target and future audiences. You will also engage with our customers by answering questions, commenting on their posts and encouraging them to use our hashtags and to share our posts. Your creative prowess and social media skills will be instrumental in elevating our brand and driving our online customer engagement.
- Develop and execute innovative social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and promote sales.
- Create and curate compelling, high-quality, and visually appealing content, including images, videos, and written posts, that align with our brand’s values and aesthetics.
- Manage and maintain a consistent posting schedule across all social media platforms, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery.
- Monitor social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to recommend new strategies for growth and engagement.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely and authentic manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and sales, to align social media efforts with overall business goals.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and generate regular reports, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and relevant news to identify opportunities for content creation and engagement.
- Participate in the planning and execution of online and offline events, promotions, and campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in social media management, preferably in the horticultural, agriculture, or related industries.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices across major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
- Creative mindset with the ability to ideate and execute unique and visually appealing content.
- Basic graphic design skills and experience using design tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
- Analytical skills to interpret social media metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for horticulture, gardening, or related fields is a plus.
