Department: Based out of Store 3 Wholesale/Hopkinton

Reports to: Director of Wholesale

Direct Reports: Yard Supervisors, yard service reps, yard staff, facilities maintenance staff, head mechanic, bulk yard supervisor, landscape supervisors

Primary Responsibilities:

Staffing Responsibilities (store 3):

· Produce store 3 organizational chart. Develop store 3 staff by defining job roles, goals, accountability and expectations to entire store 3 staff.

· Develop annual budget for staff that will support the store 3 plan to grow sales and number of active customers through better presentation and service to customers

· Hire and onboard people, conduct performance reviews, promote people, provide opportunities for advancement, conduct disciplinary action as needed

Operational Responsibilities (store 3):

· Develop and execute an annual operations plan for how store 3 will conduct business throughout the year starting with stocking up in the spring and maintaining a quality presentation throughout the year.

· Work with Director of Wholesale and President/owner to develop and execute an annual customer experience plan on how store 3 will service both the drive in service customers and the offsite ordering customers that work with the sales reps. Set specific goals to achieve throughout the year that will measure how well we are doing.

· Work with owners on all merchandising, signage and customer flow activities.

· Look for productivity opportunities to keep our operation running as leanly as possible. Utilize staff from Garden Center, facilities, installation crews, etc. in order to achieve a high level of productivity (sales/hours worked).

Overall Responsibilities:

· Work with management team to prioritize and schedule facility repair & maintenance work and improvement projects in different areas of the company

· Budget, manage and prioritize all facilities activities including equipment and materials purchasing, road and parking maintenance, construction projects, electric and plumbing upkeep, and seasonal display work.

· Oversee all operations of the garage including staffing, vendor relationship, repair work scheduling/prioritizing, outsourcing, preventative maintenance programs, snow equipment readiness, regulatory filing, costs controls, budgeting

· Manage company trash and waste recycling program for all areas of the business.

· Manage Bulk Materials Yard growth as a growing revenue center for the company by mentoring/supporting site supervisor, developing a customer friendly layout, acquiring and

efficiently manufacturing top quality products, overseeing tip fee program, negotiating processing equipment needs
