Plant a tree with Dad!

Bring home a potted fruit tree or a flowering ornamental like Dogwood and spend some time in the yard planting it together. Or make it easy and have us deliver it for you!

Build a Bird Sanctuary:

If your father likes local wildlife, bring him a birdhouse, birdfeeder, or birdbath to add to his yard.

Play in the dirt:

If he likes to garden, your dad will probably appreciate some top-notch soil. Coast of Maine Lobster Compost is excellent quality, or give him a re-usable tote bag containing 10 gallons of Weston’s Best Compost, made right here in Hopkinton.

Fancy Garden Tools:

We carry everything from basic rakes to pruners, but sometimes it’s nice to have something special in the garden shed. Our ARS and Felco hand tools are the best quality you can buy and lots of garden guys have them on their wish list.

A bench to sit on:

Dads deserve to relax-  give him a spot in the yard to watch the day go by. We have teak as well as natural and cast stone designs.

Fountain oasis:

Add a little splash and serenity to his space by giving him a fountain. We have all kinds of colors and styles to suit his taste.

Office Plants:

We all like to have a little greenery where we work, and now more than ever plants are popular with guys. Give him a plant for his desk at the office to brighten up his day.

Stepping Stones:

There is probably a spot in his yard that he walks through all the time, maybe leading up to his shed, or through the veggie garden, or over to the back door. We have a variety of natural stepping stones in nice colors to add a finishing touch to his most frequented spaces.

Tomatoes!

Give him a robust tomato plant in a pot that he can harvest later this summer. Dads who like to cook will also appreciate potted herbs.

Flowering shrubs:

Men like pretty flowers, too. Our azaleas, rhododendrons, and hydrangeas are just coming into full bloom and look spectacular – give Dad something to brag about to the neighbors.

Spend the day at the Garden Center:

We’re not just a store, we’re a destination for plant lovers everywhere. We’ll be open on Father’s Day and you’re welcome to bring your dad and spend as long as you like enjoying the fresh air, greenhouses, and stellar garden displays.
